(“Makyol”); protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms, protecting the right of privacy, ensuring and protecting information security and demonstrating respect for ethical values are among our primary principles. According to the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“PDPL”), we present the following information to you regarding the processing and protection of your personal data and special personal data, in order to fulfill the information obligation of our Company, which acts as a Data Controller, under the Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law. The term “personal data” as used in this document is used in a way that includes special personal data. We would like to indicate that we will not be responsible for the information and documents that you provide to us, other than the information requested from you during the job application within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law and other legislation.
Purpose of Processing and Transferring Personal Data
We record and process your personal data, which is listed in the following categories and which you have provided to us in the job application form, your CV and other documents, with printed and/or original signature version or in electronic media, for the purposes of contacting you for the vacant positions that we might consider as suitable for you within our Company and/or only within Makyol Group Companies for which you have granted your consent within the scope of your job application, fulfilling our obligations arising from the law, planning our administrative and personnel affairs, accurately identifying the position that you might work within our Company and managing our corporate processes in accordance with the laws and our corporate policies.

Your personal data is shared with Makyol Group Companies, which are located in Turkey and with which we have an organic relationship, for the purposes of fulfilling our obligations arising from the law and our corporate policies, ensuring the continuity of our corporate activities, complying with our internal audit, risk management and reporting obligations, in line with our legitimate interests and due to the necessity of data transfer in accordance with the Article 5/2/f of the Personal Data Protection Law. If you grant your consent in the Employee Candidate Explicit Consent text that will be sent to you separately, your personal data will be only transferred to our group companies to which you have granted your consent, so that you can be assessed for the vacant positions within these group companies.
In addition to the above purposes, your personal data may be shared with the companies from which we receive consulting services in the fields of human resources, information technologies, etc., to ensure the efficiency of our corporate processes and manage these process in accordance with the law and procedures. Besides, for the fulfillment of our legal obligations, your personal data is shared with official authorities in case of necessity. However, your health-related data is not shared with any person or institution in any way whatsoever unless you are recruited.
Your personal data is accessed by the company which provides us with information technology support, by ensuring your data security and by taking the necessary measures by our Group Companies. Apart from this, your personal data is not shared with any party.
Method and Legal Reason for Collection of Personal Data
Personal data is collected, used, recorded, stored and processed by our Company in connection with and being limited to the legitimate purpose clearly indicated above and within the framework of the principle of proportionality, upon sending clear and understandable written notification to the personal data owners and obtaining their explicit consent in case of necessity in accordance with the law and rules of honesty.
In accordance with the requirements of Labor Law and Occupational Health and Safety legislation and the articles of the other relevant laws, your personal data is processed according to the Article 5/2/a of the Personal Data Protection Law and is transferred to the individuals and institutions indicated above. In addition, your personal data is processed within the framework of the following legal reasons under the Article 5/2 of the Personal Data Protection Law and is shared with the above-mentioned individuals and institutions:
- It is necessary to process the personal data of the parties of the contract, provided that it is directly related to the conclusion or implementation of a contract.
- It is mandatory for the data controller to process the personal data to fulfill its legal obligation.
- The personal data has been made public by the personal data owner.
- Data processing is mandatory for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right.
- Data processing is mandatory in line with the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not damage the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data owner.
Retention Period of Personal Data
Your personal data will be continued to be stored in terms of the continuation of the business relationship if the result of your recruitment process is positive. If the result of your recruitment process is negative, your personal data will be continued to be stored for a period of 2 (two) years so that we can assess you as an employee candidate at a later time. In any case, your personal data will be deleted, destroyed or anonymized in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law at the end of the retention periods indicated in the relevant legal regulations.
Security of Personal Data
Your personal data is processed and stored in such a way that it can be only accessed by authorized individuals upon encryption in case of necessity and by taking all other necessary information security measures, provided that the personal data is not used beyond the indicated purpose and scope and it is ensured that the personal data is not exposed to unauthorized access, lost or damaged in the environments where it is processed and stored.

According to the Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to obtain information about your personal data by making an application to Makyol. We recommend that you forward your requests and questions to us as clearly, understandably and as specific as possible in terms of date so that we can respond your requests regarding your Personal Data in a correct and proper way as soon as possible.
